Furthermore, a number of reports from the Far East have indicated that component manufacturers are gearing up for a massive operation involving Apple beginning in September. While there are no official confirmation of the reports, identical insights have come from various unrelated sources, which would seem unlikely unless they held weight. The smoking gun we’ve been waiting for?

Finally, there is the fact that there have been suggestions for a while that Apple are planning to release a highly limited number of iPhone 5s to press and important figures during September, so as to drive anticipation completely off the scale prior to a fully-fledged public launch in October. Both months have been rattling around for most of the year now with nobody being able to reach a consensus – perhaps because the actual truth of the matter is that both months are to feature a launch of their own after all.
