Personally i don’t mind the banner ads very much… I hardly even notice them anymore and i’ve only had an iphone 3gs for a couple of weeks. I agree with Robin, that long commercials at the startup of an app could deter me from even wanting to use it. Part of the fun of portable technology is the speed, and having to wait 10-30 seconds to use an application is a long time to wait for a quick check of an app. I’d much prefer a small, ignorable banner to a lengthy, boring, inescapable movie!
Robyn, do the video ads in apps add to the download on your iphone or are they inbuilt into the supported app? Also do you read all of these and reply?
