Apple to debut iPad 3 in March Report
Read iphone-gps.blogspot.com for more details on this project. This is a video of a new plug-in GPS module working on an iPhone (can also be used on iTouch). Most commercial companies scrapped their serial port GPS units after the Apple SDK came out. This is a new effort to make it available again.

@AMFxCful Yes, the iPhone 3G[s] has GPS built-in so you won’t need the iGPS360 module unless your are unhappy with the performance of the built-in GPS.

That software was written for firmware 1.1.x and has not been ported to firmware 3.x and as such is not available currently.
