The Boxee Box looks neat. I use the Popcorn Hour A-110 and has never disappointed.

You can get a Dell 8100 with a core i5 for 650 bucks – with windows 7 included. If your budget is 600-700 dollars and you have to buy a case and OS there is no point in building.

I disconnected everything and reconnected what I wanted ( power, CD/ DVD drive mother board and fans ) I up graded the ram, added a hard drive that is pretty much all I did, I was taking the parts from one of my PC and adding them to my mac, ram was easy and so was everything else minus the hard drive, it for some reason needed to be reformatted for the mac operating system completely, I dont know why but it had to, maybe that why the one in my mac says maid for mac on it. LoL

I can build my own PC or mac, but for some reason I can get the onboard audio or lights to work, audio will still work through the line out or headphone jack, I dont know where to plug in the light cables that is why my lights dont work.

you forgot about the core i3 which is still powerful and at arround $114 it is more or less the same as the amd processor and you can get an i3/i5 motherboard for arround £120

Maybe they don’t believe the PS3 is a better option. Has that crossed your fanboy mind? I like my PS3 and think it is a great media player, but not the best.

that is great because maximum pc made a $647 pc in feb 2010 issue and this one seems basically the same, i will have to check all the specs but thats good to know.

1) Are you disputing that the PS3 isn’t better?
2) Any reviewer with an ounce of integrity has a duty to point out there is a better option available which the customer didn’t mention.
