The Camera in the using the Bubo's tripod mounts; www.handheldhollywood.com If you want to grab an OWLE Bubo, or find out more about it you can hit up their website here; www.wantowle.com
The microphone attachment that it comes with seems to be in a bad place to me, I have fairly large hands and if I want to get a good grip with both hands It looks like I could be bumping into it and distorting the sound.
That is probably the only thing I could see wrong with it.
It’s a noticeable difference, but I wouldn’t say a $130 review, and I just don’t have that kind of extra cash at the moment. But someone who does have that extra dough, I could see them buying it, and I wouldn’t stop them. What I’m really interested in though is that little mic, because I’m a big podcaster, and that would be the perfect accessory to my little netbook.
I would agree, as a standalone camera with some of the apps you can get, you can capture very good photographs, but sticking a big lens over a not so great sensor for vid use is not the answer. Looking at your vids I was not impressed, and you know the iPhones limitations, I think most people would rather use a Camcorder or a compact HD Camera, than lug a large piece of Aluminium about, but truthfully seeing more of its work would help balance my views.
*gasps* MOTHER! It’s like sugar and magic mixed together.
Sorry, i really tried to pay attention to what Blunty was saying but i couldn’t take my eyes off the can of magic that was sitting on the desk.
the reason why the lens isn’t wide enough is because the sensor in the camera is tiny.
it gives a magnification factor.
also the curve is reffered to as distortion
or in this case barrel distortion
There is a bit of lens vertical distortion with the lens you fitted to the Bubo on some of the shots, but I guess if you were that worried about that then you’d just buy a proper video / camera.
i see the point for a passionate geek very into all this stuff
But if i have an Iphone and just like taking snaps, Id’ feel weird assembling this thing in public while a guy on my left takes out an ordinary camera ^^
hmm… it can be a point (i’m doing it too ) of that but i am still not convinced about that, maybe because i am a little bit a nokia fan boy i love my canon <3, and i am taking with me almost always my netbook with 3g (i am IT geek…). Will there be a review about battlefield bad company 2?
@misha1985 Okay, I’ll bite… so which of those compact cameras allow you to do sophisticated editing, touch-ups, colour correcting, adding frames, text, etc etc etc, and then allow you to instantly upload those edited photos to a vast variety of photo sharing websites over 3G and wifi connections all from within the same device? how many of those compact cameras allow you to shoot, edit, alter, cut, trim and upload video in the same way? The iPhone can do that.
so… post some sample photos… I can tell you without watching on them that there will be chromatic aberration and deformations. I dont see any sense, cameras in phones was made for point, shoot and send low quality photos via mms or email. If you want to have something like that there is a lot of small compact cameras with better lenses, built in xenon flash and other in the pocket – if you have to carry owle, you can carry a camera instead.
This kind of brief review reminds me personally of which these days may well some sort of best possiblity to further more one’s college or university instruction. I consider whether MY SPOUSE AND I may possibly receive tuition on the internet. Now there occur a variety of fund programs today of when and so very obscure to locate only a couple of years ago.

What a useless expensive chunky product. (supposedly $130 USD)
I don’t see the point of carrying around some chunky gadget to take ‘better’ pictures.
