The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

How can El Banco Deuno and aol be around the finest l ist, and then bash art directors club? I really did nothave an issue with that redesign, and the collateral was looking rather beneficial. You understand what must happen to be on the l ist for worst logos? New York Philharmonic logo. My hatred of that logo burns in my chest to th is day. The title on the designer behind that logo may be the only motive for any of its accomplishment. The most beneficial l ist the yr is rather mediocre for me.I like Mary Shu is remark about her selections for the finest l ist a little bit superior.

How can the Nickelodeon logo be on the Greatest l ist but Bing be on the worst l ist? It’s like looking on the similar issue, a person is skinny and the other is body fat. And I realize th is is nostalgia talking, but the new Nick logo is just poor.Out of the top l ist, I’d have put the NY Library nearer for the prime. It truly is a stand out mark that is just sharp.

Thanks to the Brand new Staff to get a good year of evaluations.I often appreciate the most beneficial and Worst l ist, even though I believe th is year you may have m issed some monumental f*ckups for that ??Worst??? l ist. Logos like ANZ, Frigidaire, Packard Bell and Tropicana all of which received a unanimous bollocking in the Brand Newbians. Around the ??Best??? , I would have incorporated:Apollo Meiji Woolworths FICOJack inside the box or AVID.

Syfy detest it or not it is usually a a quality typeface therapy.. the NYPL logo is wonderful, and I dig the the brand new pfizer mark. AOL is left to become witnessed as to if it is a greatest mark. I suppose a person or two with the worst marks in the year have been notnearly that bad. I d isagree with Kraft I kinda dig that and msn.

Unquestionably a questionable l ist.Equally Aol and Nickelodeon do notdeserve to become inside the greatest redesigns,in my opinion.Number one redesign would have to be the Metropolis of Melbourne logo.
January 1st, 2011 at 7:12 am
Th is whole factor can be a joke. Regardless of how the style group feels about these redesigns, their influence is measured by results, not opinions. Ca notwe speak about th is shit responsibly?

City of Melbourne is range a person. The depth of their redesign was astounding, and its applications across all media is the two clean and practical. I’m unsure if AOL meets the same amount of usefulness. Sure, it is a step through the prior layout, but how much much more so? And also to what end? Very well, that’s my two cents. Peace.

The whole point of [logo] design just isn’t to show off??? what you can do. It is not about bells and wh istles.

I think Aol. Need to be both the most effective and the worst on the yr. It’s the very best, simply because yes, it will likely be seen by far the most. It also does set a long run for the brand, really unique from their past as World wide web, Inc. It’s also rather artistic; it’s incredibly distinctive. It should be the worst even though because the execution is terrible. The concept, nevertheless is resourceful, just sucks. There may be very little cons istency, and the wordmark bores me.

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
January 3rd, 2011 at 3:44 pm
I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
January 3rd, 2011 at 4:08 pm
This website is extremely cool! How did you make it ?
January 3rd, 2011 at 4:14 pm
Sorry for the huge review, but I’m really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.
January 3rd, 2011 at 5:18 pm
Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

The Earth4Energy book has 71 pages of by-instructions. Every one of the elements needed, may be discovered at your local ironmongery shop for beneath $ There exists also by video instructions that literally take your hand, and walk you through the whole process. i’m removed from being a technological person and I more often than not get very annoyed working on complicating things. Not solely was this easy, however it was also sort of fun. It is best have seen the faces of my neighbors whenever I used to be finished!

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to.

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

January 13th, 2011 at 10:07 am
Looking forward to discover what they do from the close to long run.

January 13th, 2011 at 12:44 pm
Sorry for the huge review, but I’m really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.
January 13th, 2011 at 12:55 pm
The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
January 13th, 2011 at 1:28 pm
Nicely, to not repeat the hating on aol, but th is is probably essentially the most d isappointing l ist up to now. On each sides. How can El Banco Deuno and aol be on the ideal l ist, and then bash art directors club? I really did nothave a problem with that redesign, along with the collateral was looking really very good. You know what really should have already been around the l ist for worst logos? New York Philharmonic logo. My hatred of that logo burns in my chest to th is day. The name on the designer behind that logo will be the only cause for any of its achievement. The most effective l ist the yr is fairly mediocre for me.I like Mary Shu is remark about her alternatives for the finest l ist somewhat greater.

If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.

I’m using Internet Explorer at the moment and your navigation bar looks really screwed up. It might be because I’m using an older version, but I thought you should know. It would be a shame if people couldn’t navigate your site due to it not being compatible with their browsers.

If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.

January 17th, 2011 at 10:11 am
Sorry for the huge review, but I’m really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.
January 17th, 2011 at 10:51 am
January 17th, 2011 at 10:56 am
Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
January 17th, 2011 at 12:35 pm
wonderful article mate but how do I get your rss feed?
January 17th, 2011 at 2:36 pm
The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

January 18th, 2011 at 9:57 am
The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.

Can’t hear that song without dancing.Drowning in middle-aged nostalgia here, as Soul Train was a young childhood show for me.I was also believing that the 70s were the peak years for Soul Train. Mavis Staples,Gladys Knight, etc. If Don Cornelius passed away in New Orleans,he’d obtain a jazz funeral with all the Rebirth Brass Band playing “I Seem like Funking it Up” completely back through the cemetary.
